Papaya does work to remove body hair. If you asked me using papaya as a remedy for hair removal is even better than waxing or shaving. In this case, raw papaya is used because it contains high concentrations of a compound known as papain. Papain is actually a potent enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for getting rid of unsightly body hair by weakening the hair follicles. Similarly, if you use raw papaya on a regular basis it works to prevent the hair from growing back.
