Aloe Vera- Aloe Vera has been known for its moisturizing properties and will add moisture and volume to your hair.

Filtered Water- Purified or Filtered water to give the shampoo a liquid base. It is important to use water in its purified form as it will discourage the growth of molds and will also be chlorine-free and will be devoid of other salts that are harsh for the hair.

Castile Soap- As the shampoo needs a cleaning agent which shouldn’t be harsh like market-made shampoos, castile soap as a cleanser is the best option as it is safe not only for adults but also for kids.

Best Tea-Tree Shampoo for major hair problems

The best thing about making your shampoo from scratch is that you can make it address a specific problem that needs an urgent solution. And you can do this with our basic tea tree shampoo too. Let’s eradicate the most common of them from their very roots.

For Dandruff

Dandruff has topped the list of major hair problems in the world and is bothering the majority of the population due to pollution and lifestyle changes these days. Tea tree oil is one of the most effective solutions when it comes to relieving itchy scalp and greasiness. As per research published in the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, 5 percent of tea tree oil in any hair care product decreased dandruff by 41 percent. So, make sure to bring the oil’s concentration to 5 percent while making the shampoo if your major concern is dandruff.

For Lice

Lice are the major problem in children as they toss and turn in the mud while playing. To kill lice, add 1 tablespoon of Olive oil while making the shampoo in the saucepan. Olive oil suffocates the lice and meanwhile reduces the number of already hatching eggs. Be patient as it will take a few washes to get a lice-free head.

For Fine Hair

We all want a head full of hair. So, if thick manes are what you are aiming for, add 10 drops of Rosemary essential oil while making the shampoo in the saucepan. Rosemary oil solves the problem of fine hair and even baldness by increasing blood circulation to the scalp area.

For healthy and shiny hair

If general hair care is your aim and you want to keep your hair healthy and shiny in the long term, add 1 tablespoon of Vitamin E oil and 2 tablespoons of coconut milk while preparing your shampoo. Vitamin E oil will make our hair grow and keep them healthy and coconut milk will add a sheen to them and make them soft and frizz-free.

Wise Words

All the shampoos these days have failed to stand by their tall claims which have made us all turn to nature. Of late, tea-tree shampoos have become a rage due to their ability to give what they said.
